Continuing the ministry

About 5 months ago , I answered my call from God to start a church. I left my former church of 7 years and started preparing. In fact those were the words I heard "go home and prepare for ministry." So I started a church in my home. I have a family of 4 and 4 people have joined. I knew that I didn't have the funds to start the ministry in a building, so I started at home. If I ever had faith in anything, I feel I had faith that God was going to send the people and provide the necessary funds to start. But, now the ministry has placed a strain on my marriage, which has led to my wife backing off from the ministry. I really thought God was going to see us through, he gave me the vision, mission and continues to give me life-changing sermons weekly. Should I continue or keep going even though I need to focus on getting a second job to fund the ministry?

Church at Home

It has been my experience as a pastor, of 25 years, now retired, that the home is a place for quiet and serenity. No place to have a church. It is a place to retreat from the stresses and strains of ministry. Which are vast. REturn your home to wife and family. Get a regular job or look for another pastor job.
