Musician sows discord

by Wayne

A musician in our church sows discord within and out of the church against the pastor. She is very rebellious and mean we have prayed for her but it seems to get worse. Any advice?

Do:Matthew 18. Don't:Do Anything
by: Rev. Dr. Karl Galik

Mean spirited people don't just go away because we wish they would.
In my book, "The Love Paradox" I address the nature of "the unregulated" as behaving like cancer cells. What looks like passion is actually an inability or a lack of willingness to live within healthy community boundaries.
If you try and wish cancer away, you should plan your funeral while you're wishing.
Engage the process Jesus provided and you can get back to the mission.
Ignore the process Jesus established and watch the accusations and secrets and anxiety multiply uncontrollably.
Your choice.

Musician Sows Discord
by: Liz Levesque

Dear Pastor:

Did three of you go to her and discuss this situation according to Matthew 18:15 "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his sin." or another translation reads: Matthew18:15."If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other ... "If your brother sins against you, go and confront him while the two of you are alone." So, whether it just be you or two others have you done this? that seems to be the next logical step. What this musician is doing is sin. so, I would follow this path. Just tell this person how hurtful what they are doing. If they are a good person they will cry and repent. If, not they will get defensive. But, you are going to have to confront them. Or else your ministry will suffer. Blessings. Liz+
