pastoral conflict

In a church where the Senior Pastor has two assistants, Number One and Two. And the Senior Pastor feels that the Assistant No. 2, rather than the No. 1, should be in charge when he is out of the pastorate because of his capabilities. And this is generating some serious conflict between the pastors. The No. 1 thinks he was there before the other joined the church, because of that he will not allow that to be. What should the No 2 do in this case?

Pastor Conflict No. 1 and No. 2

If the pastor has 2 assistants then why can't he leave one in charge one time and another one in charge another time and there be rotation? Can't you all share leadership and authority? Have a meeting and clear the air. This type of resentment and conflict creates an interior rot that affects the whole staff and church. Resolve this as quickly as you can. You have my prayers. +
